There is so much geography to Alaska that it is hard to believe so much fishing can be found in so many areas. Look to the West/Southwest portion of Alaska and you will find The Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge. This Alaska Fishing Lodge is located in the Bristol Bay area, sporting five Salmon species, Grayling and is home to Alaska’s largest Rainbow Trout. Whether you enjoy fly-fishing or bait fishing, you will find plenty to enjoy in this pristine area.

The Kvichak River is home to The Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge, about four miles from Lake Iliamna. This is a fly-in fishing area and the remote wilderness area is even more enjoyable when you consider that this Alaska Fishing Lodge limits its number of guests to just sixteen. All the comforts of home can be found here including hot and cold running water in all the cabins, twenty-four hour a day electric service, private bathrooms with shower, and rooms cleaned daily.
After a day of fishing you can enjoy time in the lodge that has a dining room, living room with couches and rockers, even a wet bar. Fishermen love the tackle/guides room and the map room too. You will have plenty to talk about, as each day of fishing is sure to create its own stories of the fantastic fish you have caught.

Fishermen can choose their preferred method of drifting, wading, casting or plugging. This area is well designated with fly-fishing to be done in the streams and fly or conventional fishing on the rivers. The guides at The Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge are friendly and helpful to all who fish. If you are eager to try your hand at angling for those twenty-eight inch and larger Rainbow Trout, you will find abundant opportunity. There are also Artic Char, Chinook, Sockeye, Chum, Coho, and Pinks. When booking your Alaska Fishing Lodge trip, be sure to ask about the DFG’s catch and release program.

In all you will find your stay at The Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge to have all of the comforts and friendly people that you would expect to find on a trip such as this. The remoteness of the fly-in fishing experience lends to the Alaska Wilderness and the limit number of guests will give you a feeling of personal attention. A must fishing vacation plan for the Western part of Alaska.
